In their third match of the UEFA Champions League season, Sporting Clube de Portugal defeated Olympique de Marseille 2-1, with two second-half goals from replacements Geny Catamo and Alisson Santos. Rui Borges' club faced one of the best teams in Europe, leading Ligue 1 and riding a five-game winning run.
