Sosa signs a loan agreement with the Eastern Conference team that will last until the 2024 Major League Soccer season. Since joining Bologna in August 2022, the 22-year-old has made 11 appearances for the Italian team. The former Uruguay junior international played just three games during his four-month loan at Croatian powerhouse Dinamo Zagreb in the latter few months of 2023. The former Nacional player joins Joel Waterman, Gabriele Corbo, and George Campbell—a former Atlanta United defender—in the Montreal defence.
Montreal, who are poised to begin 2024 under first-year head coach Laurent Courtois, got Breza's signing on a permanent move that brings him back to the club for two further seasons in 2024 and 2025. Breza previously spent the 2021 and 2022 seasons on loan at Montreal, when he appeared in 38 games for the Canadian team under Wilfried Nancy's victorious 2022 campaign.
