As per a recent piece written by David Ornstein for The Athletic, Chelsea and Premier League team Bournemouth are now in talks over a possible acquisition of goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. The Spanish goalkeeper, who previously had a €80 million price tag when he joined Stamford Bridge, has fallen short of expectations and will now play his future away from London. According to David Ornstein, Kepa is expected to depart Chelsea following a disappointing tenure that includes a loan to Real Madrid. He may go on loan to Bournemouth for the 2024–2025 season. Chelsea has to decide whether to extend his contract in order to secure a price or risk losing him as a free agent when his contract expires in the summer.
The specifics of the Chelsea and Bournemouth agreement are yet unknown, but it could be anything from a simple loan to a loan with a buyout option.
