City makes a comeback to defeat Chelsea

Manchester City overcame a 1-0 deficit under Erling Haaland's leadership to defeat Chelsea 3-1 and advance to the Premier League's top four. City overcame a terrible start to Abdukodir Khusanov's debut by giving the visitors the first goal, which Noni Madueke scored. Before Haaland used his combination of power and talent to chip in 22 minutes from time, Josko Gvardiol tied the score for Pep Guardiola's team.

After just one victory in their previous nine league games, City's fourth in five came when the Norwegian turned provider for the highly effective Phil Foden. Chelsea will once again consider the need to improve goalkeeper Robert Sanchez after his placement allowed Haaland to score a vital goal. Chelsea has only won once in their past seven Premier League games, dropping them to sixth place.
