Following an outstanding season with Hellas Verona, Diego Coppola has drawn interest from many domestic and international teams. The 21-year-old earned his first cap for the Azzurri in their most recent World Cup qualifying match against Norway and assisted the Italian team in securing their Serie A survival. Coppola, who has a deal with Verona through 2027, is worth about €15 million (£12.6 million).
Coppola made 34 appearances for Verona last season, playing a key role at center defense as the Italian team ended six points above the relegation zone in 14th place in Serie A. Under Cesc Fabregas' leadership, Como finished their debut season in the top league in 10th place, and the Spaniard now hopes to bolster his team with the defender. However, Bournemouth want to bring Coppola to England, with Andoni Iraola’s side in need of defensive reinforcements after Dean Huijsen joined Real Madrid for £50m.
