Del Piero and Desailly back Conte for Chelsea success

The Premier League is on the verge of becoming even more exciting and competitive than it already was, the arrival of many world-class managers is the proof to it. In London, the arrival of Italian manager Antonio Conte has Chelsea FC all excited because it will be a massive level leap for them. During his time at Juventus, Conte won three straight Serie A titles and brought the 'Old Lady' back to its rightful place after the 2006 scandal that relegated them. Both Alex del Piero and Marcel Desailly who know Conte, expect the best from him at the Blues.

Talking to Sky Sports, Del Piero said this about Conte: "He's a good guy, he loves to work a lot. If he has a chance to talk to players in the right way, and if they understand what he wants, Chelsea can have a very good season and probably win the title. It's not easy, the Premier League is amazing this year in terms of players and coaches, but he has a chance."

Desailly also praised Conte, he told Omnisport that: "All the time I think he is the right man before the start of the season!. But he will be the right man if he is able to build up a team that matches with his own philosophy, meaning the kind of player he needs to develop his own tactics. So it looks like there's a lot of movement coming into Chelsea, they need to remove four or five players in and out to allow Conte to perform."
