The kicker is reporting the Dutchman is to join Hellas Verona on loan. On Thursday morning, Zeefuik exercised with Hertha, but in the afternoon, he went for Italy. If the Italian team chooses to do so, the loan deal incorporates a buyout clause. The 24-year-old was a free agent when he left FC Groningen for Hertha in 2020, but he has struggled to make an impact in the starting lineup.
The defender played six games in a six-month period while on loan at Blackburn Rovers in the Championship last season. Since joining Hertha on a free transfer from Everton in the summer, he hasn't been able to unseat Jonjo Kenny at right-back for the team. Hertha is tied for 15th place in the league with VfB Stuttgart, who is in the relegation play-off spot, in terms of points.
