Discovering Dieng, the new OM star who was the protagonist of the Monaco night

The performance was excellent from all the Sampaoli players, but one in particular took the stage and carried the ball at home: it is Cheick Ahmadou Bamba Dieng, the young Senegalese striker (born in 2000) who on Saturday evening did not miss Arkadiusz Milik (who is about to return from his knee injury) nor the talent of Dimitri Payet (absent for a discomfort in the left thigh).

Without the two headlights in attack, Sampaoli decided to focus on the young Dieng, who repaid the trust of his coach with a 'monstre' performance: two internal posts, two goals and two missed opportunities probably just because of the emotion.

"The fans are special. I hope one day to play with them", he said in an interview a few years ago.
