Everton strikes a £28 million agreement to replace Dominic Calvert-Lewin as the Toffees focus on players from Liverpool and Manchester City. Everton has been able to work out a cheaper fixed payment of about £28 million for the 22-year-old striker, Thierno Barry, who has a £34 million release clause. Add-ons, which are thought to be mostly connected to individual performance, might bring the overall package closer to £35 million. In addition to playing for France in the Under-21 European Championship this summer in Slovakia, Barry scored 11 La Liga goals the previous season.
Given that Dominic Calvert-Lewin, 28, is leaving the Toffees on a free transfer, he will be considered as a replacement. With an emphasis on wingers, Everton is still looking for additional flexible attackers. Jack Grealish is still a possibility, but only if a loan from Manchester City is approved. Another winger that Everton admires is Ben Doak of Liverpool.
