Everton broke the impasse midway in second half with Gylfi Sigurdsson’s cross found its way to Richarlison who scored the goal to put Everton ahead. Mbaye Diagne thought he had leveled the playing field in injury time but the shot was ruled out for being offside putting Everton men at ease.
Ancelotti’s side has won 10 of their last 13 league matches with them taking a lead in the first half itself though this time it was different. Against lowly West Brom, in the first half they could fashion just one Calvert-Lewin’s poor miss as the only real chance they had at scoring which does not bode well for the team. While Diagne was especially cruel to Everton’s defense on many occasions which needs to be fixed as well still Everton rose to third straight win.
