Former Chelsea player Victor Moses' return blocked by Premier League

Last year after calling it quits with Chelsea, Moses joined Spartak Moscow. He is still associated with Spartak Moscow and has been secluded in the Russian capital. Technically, he is out of contract until 30th June this year. This has been granted by UEFA and FIFA under special dispensation.

Burnley wants to help him leave Russia and meet his family and friends in England at Turf Moor. But the request put forth by Burnley has been declined by the Premier League.  La Liga has given a nod to clubs to sign players obligated to move by the war. Further, the Premier League chose to block the transfer to Burnley. It’s understandable that Burnley’s request was put down due to concerns of spots integrity. The transfer window has shut down until the season’s end.
