There seems to be a fresh news about Emerson Royal's future at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at least once a day, and today is no exception. Gianluca Di Marzio, a reporter for Sky Sport Italia, gave his most recent assessment of the circumstances surrounding the Brazilian international's possible transfer to AC Milan this evening on X.
According to Di Marzio, further negotiations have taken place between Tottenham and the Serie A powerhouses, bringing a deal closer to completion; nevertheless, an agreement is not yet finalized. The 25-year-old defender, who was below Pedro Porro in Ange Postecoglou's right-back hierarchy, made just 22 appearances for Spurs in all competitions last season, mostly from the bench. Recently, Royal said in a Globo interview that he was dissatisfied with his lack of regular first-team action, that he had discussed his predicament with Postecoglou, and that he is willing to leave in order to play.
