It has been a fully eventful last game for Gareth Bale and Wales, the team from the British Isles got a highly convincing victory. From the very start of the match, the Welsh national team proved that they were going to go all out for the victory and the top of the group. Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale was the most dangerous player for his country, against a Russian team that wasn't even invested in competing this time around at Stadium Municipal in Toulouse.
The first half was the one that decided most of the remains of the game, in the 11th minute it was Aaron Ramsey who raced onto Joe Alen's long ball and coolly clipped it over the advancing Akinfeev, a beautiful finish from Ramsey who made all the famous people tremble due to his famous curse. This goal gave manager Coleman the peace of mind he needed because after that Wales started to own the full development of the game against an absent Russian side that didn't even try.
Nine minutes after Ramsey's goal, Gareth Bale took a ball in midfield from the Arsenal midfielder and got tripped off of it. The rebound was taken by a marauding Neil Taylor who finished with ease in front of Akinfeev. The Russia goalkeeper parried his first effort, but he walloped in the rebound. Before the first half, everybody knew which team was the better one in this game, but Gareth Bale still was only making huge efforts with no reward.
This pay day came until the 67th minute of the match, as Bale darted into the box from the left to meet Ramsey's neat through pass and knocked it past the goalkeeper from the angle. This goal turned Bale into the European Championship's top scorer with 3 goals and gives his country hopes that they can become the real underdogs of the tournament. Bale also wrote his name alongside other great players in Euros' history who managed to score goals in every single group stage match. Platini in '84, Stoichkov in '96, Shearer in '96, Milosevic in '00, Milan Baros in '04 and Ruud V.Nistelrooy in '04 complete the list alongside Bale.
