Gladbach Reigns Over Hertha Berlin 1-0 To Top Bundesliga Table

Alassane Plea scored a penalty, Jonas Hofmann missed a crucial free-kick, and Filip Uremovic was red carded. Borussia Mönchengladbach just expanded their unbeatable record to three Bundesliga matches by adding this clear win over Hertha Berlin.

When Maximilian Mittelstad was penalised for handling a cross from Lars Stindl, Plea unlocked the penalty stroke at the 35th minute. It was the first goal of the season for him.  The Berlin side were cut down to 10 players in the 70th minute because Filip Uremovic was accused of handball in the area. The Croatian centre-half was therefore red-carded. The Germany international's penalty-kick was denied by Christensen after Uremovic was given the red. Christensen delivered a promising one-on-one. Then, substitute Kevin-Prince Boateng was called to rescue Hertha. This will mark the second defeat of the Bundesliga season for Hertha.
