How the West Ham players reacted after Carabao Cup win over Man Utd

Manuel Lanzini got the games only goal after a superb run down the right from Ryan Fredericks but it was Issa Diop, Craig Dawson and Alphonse Areola at the back who stole the headlines.

In truth, it was a team performance, as Areola pointed out, with everyone contributing to the Hammers win.

Stuart Pearce took on the media duties for West Ham last night and the coach was pleased with the showing from his side.

"We are delighted with the result, it's a really tough place to come," Pearce said.

"We had to sustain pressure for periods of the game. I think we started the game very well deservedly got in front, and at the end of the game potentially could have led by two goals [which would have] made it [a] little bit more comfortable."
