According to sources on Monday, Luka Jovic left Milan as a free agent at the conclusion of his contract earlier this summer and has since found a new club. The former striker for Real Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt is expected to complete a free move to AEK Athens of the Super League Greece.
However, the 27-year-old had other choices because Real Oviedo, who were promoted to La Liga at the conclusion of the 2024–25 season, had also been trying to entice the Serbian international to return to Spain. The thought of joining AEK, who apparently made an offer over the weekend, attracted Jovic more than the Real Oviedo proposition did. During his two years in San Siro, Jovic scored 13 goals in 47 games in all competitions, capping out his Milan career. Four of those were in the Coppa Italia, eight in Serie A, and one in the Champions League.
