A tough encounter at the Allianz Stadium ended in a 0-0 tie between the Bianconeri and a tenacious Napoli. Juve, who have not allowed a goal since the season's opening, recorded their third straight goalless draw in Serie A. However, they were unable to find a way to score, partly because of Napoli's well-organized defense. Weston McKennie made a strong run in the tenth minute to try and catch the end of a Kenan Yildiz cross, but he was unable to make the finishing touch as Juventus got off to a strong start.
The second half saw some more wasted opportunities from both sides. In an attempt to secure the three points, Bianconeri tried to mount a last-minute charge as well. In the 88th minute, Michael Folorunsho’s effort was diverted behind for a corner. Juventus pushed harder in the closing minutes, but in the end, Gleison Bremer and the Bianconeri defense had to stop David Neres's last-ditch attack in the fourth minute of extra time.
