During the winter transfer window, the Bianconeri had identified midfield support as their top need, but they were unable to bring in anyone who could instantly improve the team. All that has changed, though, as Thuram and Luiz—two of the top midfielders in their respective leagues—arrived at Juventus this summer.
But they're not done yet. According to Fabrizio Romano, Juventus is preparing to formally bid on star center midfielder Teun Koopmeiners to Atalanta, a rival Serie A team. Since moving to Serie A from the Eredivisie in the 2022–2023 season, the Dutchman has been among the league's finest players. In the 2023–2024 season, he helped Atalanta overcome Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League to win the title. Since the winter, Koopmeiners has been identified by Juventus as their top midfield transfer target for 2024; thus, it is only a matter of time until the Bianconeri make La Dea a formal transfer offer.
