If Milan Skriniar and Inter Milan are unable to come to terms on a new contract, Inter Milan plans to sign the 31-year-old Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly. At the end of the current campaign, the Slovakian defender will be a free agent, and Chelsea has been rumoured to be interested in signing him. Given the player's contract status, it makes it natural that Inter Milan is looking into prospective alternatives for him.
Skriniar is currently one of Europe's top defenders, and Inter Milan is hoping to reach an extension with him soon. If the Serie A powerhouses are unable to do so, Koulibaly would be a good alternative. The defender, who is 31 years old, transferred to Chelsea during the offseason. However, things have not gone his way at Stamford Bridge, and a transfer may be in the works.
