Pep Guardiola already proved that he gets offended when people talk trash about the German Bundesliga, the Catalan manager thinks they are a highly competitive tournament and people tend to underestimate it and put it below the standards of other leagues such as the Premier or La Liga. But last Saturday's match between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund proved there is still hope for the German tournament, this match showed everyone that there is still hope for other clubs to win the trophy.
To all those critics who say the Bundesliga is not as good, Bayern skipper Philipp Lahm said: "Our game wasn't bad, just okay. Unfortunately we conceded the early goal and then we missed that final pass. Otherwise we would have been able to create a lot of chances. I said many times in recent years, but nobody wanted to believe me: it's not this easy to be on the top of the table all the time and to confirm these achievements. It's a difficult task - now we'll see just how difficult."
When asked if Bayern could win the title this season, Lahm added: "I don't know, I'm not clairvoyant. For now, they are doing really well. They won in Leverkusen, which is never easy. We have to wait and see how long momentum is on their side."
