LaLiga: Real Sociedad bid farewell to a disappointing 2018

The last 12 months have been filled with disappointment for Real Sociedad, a club who have gone downhill in 2018 having seen some important figures move on as well as poor results on the field.

Eusebio Sacristan and Asier Garitano have left the club, while Xabi Prieto and Imanol Agirretxe also departed emotionally.

Carlos Vela is another who set off from La Real this year as he embarked on a new journey in Major League Soccer, having played in both the Champions League and Europa League at the club. Inigo Martinez's departure for Athletic Club marked one of the San Sebastian side's worst moments in recent years.

Carlos Martinez, Alberto De la Bella and Sergio Canales are others who left.

It hasn't been all bad, though, and the opening of the new Estadio de Anoeta was a bright spark as they move into 2019 with the hope of things turning around.
