Ernest Poku, a winger for AZ Alkmaar, has reached an agreement to join Bayer Leverkusen. Prior to a €10 million transfer to the Bundesliga, the 21-year-old is scheduled to arrive in Leverkusen for a medical. Poku is expected to sign a four-year contract with Germany's red corporate squad. Leverkusen increased their efforts to sign Loïc Badé, a center-back for Sevilla.
A transfer fee of between €20 million and €25 million is being considered during ongoing negotiations. AFC Bournemouth, who are willing to spend €30 million for the French international, will be a fierce rival to the Bundesliga team. Leverkusen is still rushing to bolster their understaffed team in preparation for the next Bundesliga season. Head coach Erik ten Hag now has just 23 professionals to deal with after it was confirmed that longstanding goalie and captain Lukas Hradecky will be joining AS Monaco.
