The recent Premier League match of Liverpool ended in a goalless draw with Newcastle at St. James Park. Magpies goalkeeper Karl Darlow denied Liverpool two more points in their run for the top spot in the league. But the stalemate was not that disappointing to Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp. Without defender Joel Matip in the squad Liverpool lacked an edge during the night, but the squad came together to put in a good effort but they failed to take advantage of the opportunities just like their West Brom draw.
Roberto Firmino saw both his headers being saved by Darlow but the worst of all was Mohamed Salah who missed the post twice in an attempt to score. The win would have given them a 5-point lead over Manchester United who might be at par with them if they win against Aston Villa.
