The British newspaper 'The Mirror' revealed that Liverpool is considering renewing the contract of its Dutch coach Arne Slot, even though he has not yet completed half the duration of his current contract, which extends until 2027.
The newspaper clarified that the club's management, led by the Fenway Sports Group, is seeking to reward Slot for the outstanding performance he has delivered since taking charge of the team in May 2024, following the departure of former coach Jürgen Klopp.
Slot led Liverpool to achieve its second Premier League title in 35 years, along with reaching the final of the English League Cup, prompting the management to consider a move similar to what they did with Klopp, when they renewed his contract just nine months after he took over.
The newspaper indicated that Slot's agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has begun preliminary talks with Liverpool's management regarding the new contract.
