Liverpool and Chelsea Join Race for Santos Wonderkid Robinho Junior

Interest in South American prodigy Robinho Junior is growing fast, with Liverpool and Chelsea among several European clubs tracking the 17-year-old Santos forward, according to Sport Witness. The son of former Brazil and Manchester City star Robinho, he has scored four goals in 17 appearances since breaking into Santos’ first team. The teenager recently extended his contract until 2027, featuring a €100 million (£85.5m) release clause and an automatic two-year extension when he turns 18.

Inter Milan are currently leading the race after sending scouts to watch him against Corinthians, but both Premier League giants remain keen. The success of Estevão at Chelsea has encouraged other clubs to move early for top Brazilian talent. With Europe’s biggest sides betting on potential over experience, Robinho Jr. could be the next breakout star to make the leap.
