Man United considering ex-City boss Mancini as Amorim's potential replacement

Even after a solid 2-0 win over Sunderland, Ruben Amorim has been constantly under scrutiny from the fans amid a poor start to the campaign.

According to reports in The Sun, the Red Devils are considering Roberto Mancini as a viable option if they decide to part ways with their current manager. The Italian tactician, who recently finished his stint with the Saudi Arabian national team, is reportedly keen on a return to the Premier League.

The 59-year-old Mancini has a wealth of experience, having managed Manchester City, Inter Milan, the Italian national team and several other teams. His time at City was marked by Premier League and FA Cup victories.

Jim Ratcliffe has previously expressed his unwavering support for Amorim, suggesting his tenure deserves a fair reward of three full seasons. However, the club's management are quietly looking for alternatives, ensuring a reliable backup plan is in place.
