Liverpool, the English Premier League champion, has reached an agreement with French striker Hugo Ekitike, the top scorer of Eintracht Frankfurt, to sign him during the current summer transfer window.
According to French press, an agreement has been made between the player and the Reds' management for a six-year contract, confirming Ekitike's exclusive desire to join Liverpool.
The press noted that Manchester United's offer was definitively rejected, and Newcastle United withdrew from the competition, leaving Liverpool as the sole party in the race to sign the player.
Ekitike's contract with Eintracht Frankfurt extends until the summer of 2029, after he permanently transferred to the German club in the summer of 2024 from Paris Saint-Germain following a successful loan period.
The 23-year-old striker played 48 matches last season with Frankfurt, scoring 22 goals and providing 12 assists.
