Ibrahima Konaté is now in the last year of his Liverpool contract, and because no renewal has been reached, it is unclear how long he will stay at Anfield. Real Madrid and PSG are reportedly keeping a close eye on the issue and may make a bid if no agreement is made before the January transfer window. PSG, Real Madrid, and Barcelona are among the elite European teams that have made offers to Konaté, increasing the likelihood of a move when his contract expires.
Since Real Madrid is still eager to agree to a free transfer next summer to strengthen their backline, former Manchester United and Blackburn senior scout Mick Brown thinks Konaté is getting closer to leaving Liverpool. Also, Liverpool's third contract offer was turned down by Konaté. While some of the sources suggest that Konaté's transfer to Real Madrid for the summer of next year is now highly advanced.
