Manchester City have completed the signing of Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan for an initial €55m (£46m), making him the fourth addition to Pep Guardiola’s squad this week. The Dutch international has signed a five-year contract and joins Rayan Ait-Nouri, Marcus Bettinelli, and Rayan Cherki as City gear up for the Club World Cup.
Reijnders, who netted 15 goals last season and was named Serie A’s best midfielder, is expected to play a key role in City’s midfield rebuild. Alongside Cherki, he strengthens Guardiola’s options in the centre of the pitch. Speaking after finalising the move, Reijnders expressed his excitement and said he had worked hard to improve his goal-scoring ability. All four new signings could feature in City’s pre-season matches in the United States as they prepare for a busy campaign ahead.
