Manchester City's winning streak is ended by Brighton

Pep Guardiola commended his Manchester City players for overcoming their hangovers following their 1-1 draw against Brighton on Wednesday to extend their undefeated streak to 25 games and win the Premier League title. A point was also sufficient for the Seagulls to ensure that they will place sixth in the standings and qualify for the Europa League the following year. The English champions took the 1-0 lead with Phil Foden's goal, but later Julio Enciso's incredible long-range effort earned Brighton the point as they leveled the scoreboard 1-1.

Guardiola shared the players have showcased why they are the champions, facing a tough-looking Brighton, 48 hours after they drank alcohol in Manchester celebrating their league title win. Roberto De Zerbi, the manager of Brighton, was lauded as one of the 20 most influential managers of the last 20 years by Pep Guardiola prior to the game.
