Reports have revealed that Manchester United is ready to sell its Portuguese star Bruno Fernandes during the upcoming summer transfer window, after the club set his exit price from Old Trafford at £100 million.
The report indicated that United has become open to the idea of selling their captain if a suitable offer arrives, amid interest from Saudi league clubs and several major European clubs in acquiring his services.
Fernandes had rejected a move to Saudi Arabia last summer, preferring to continue competing in Europe, but the English club's management believes the time has come to sell him in order to fund new signings and rebuild the midfield.
According to the same source, Manchester United plans to use the proceeds from the potential deal to sign young players from the Premier League, namely Elliot Anderson of Nottingham Forest and Carlos Baleba of Brighton, to be among the options to compensate.
