Marseille were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against Strasbourg

As France's Ligue 1 returned following its winter break, Strasbourg scored an injury-time equaliser, forcing Marseille to settle for a 1-1 draw on Friday. Marseille, who are unbeaten at home at Stade Velodrome this season, took the lead with a header from captain Samuel Gigot after only three minutes.

But Jeremy Sebas, who is eighteen, scored a goal in the second minute of stoppage time to guarantee Strasbourg a point. "Sebas has great potential, but we need to use him gradually. Coach Patrick Vieira remarked, "I am very happy for him, scoring his first goal at the Velodrome, it's difficult to do better than that." "Together, we performed very well," he continued. Despite the goal we gave up, we didn't split apart, and we had a chance to win with a little more luck." Strasbourg is still in ninth place in the standings, while Marseille climbed up to fifth place, three points behind Brest.
