Napoli defeated AC Milan 2-0

Napoli increased their advantage at the top of Serie A to seven points on Tuesday after defeating AC Milan 2-0 on the road.

Romelu Lukaku and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia gave the visitors two goals in the first half to complete the win and increase the gap between them and Inter Milan, who were in second position. When Lukaku scored his fourth goal of the season in the fifth minute, it stunned host Milan, but Napoli never looked back. Kvaratskhelia's amazing curling attempt gave Antonio Conte's team a second goal, ending the match as a contest. Milan had a few good chances, but it was the closest they got. Two minutes into the second half, an Alvaro Morata goal was disallowed due to a VAR review for offside. However, league leaders Napoli managed to hang on for their fifth straight league win and ninth win in a row. Milan's 14 points keep them in ninth place.
