Napoli eye Raheem Sterling as next Chelsea recruit

Napoli already have a couple of ex-Chelsea players in Billy Gilmour and Romelu Lukaku, and they might be about to add another. According to TBR Football, the Italian club have held talks with Raheem Sterling’s camp and expressed interest in signing the winger. Sterling, once seen as a marquee signing under Chelsea's new owners, has struggled to live up to expectations and doesn’t seem to be in Enzo Maresca’s plans.

With Khvicha Kvaratskhelia joining PSG, Napoli are eyeing Sterling to compete with Noa Lang on the left wing. Antonio Conte has reportedly approved the move. Fulham are also said to be keeping tabs on the former Manchester City and Liverpool star, which means Sterling might have the option to stay in the Premier League if a move to Italy doesn’t materialize. A summer switch could suit both player and club as they look for fresh starts.
