Napoli fear losing Bologna’s Dan Ndoye to Nottingham

Napoli are anxious that they’re going to miss out on Bologna’s Dan Ndoye to Nottingham Forest, therefore are examining Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling as an alternative. According to Gianluca di Marzio and Corriere dello Sport, who both report on the matter today, Napoli is shifting their focus elsewhere as a result of Nottingham Forest.

According to Corriere, despite the Italian team's best efforts to sign Ndoye, there is concern that Nottingham Forest may surpass them in the competition. According to a source today, Nuno Espirito Santo's team was prepared to make Bologna an offer of about €40 million. Because of this, Napoli is looking at other options and is assessing a deal for Sterling, who is leaving Chelsea. The belief is that Ndoye is very attracted to moving to the Premier League and thus Nottingham Forest’s offer. A financial agreement hasn’t been reached between the two sides yet.
