Juventus suffered their first league defeat of the season as a result of the Partenopei's second-half comeback on Saturday, as Napoli protected their top place in the standings from any prospective attacks by Inter. Randal Kolo Muani's first-half goal on his first day for Juventus was canceled out by a strike from André-Frank Zambo Anguissa and a converted penalty shot from Romelu Lukaku, resulting in a 2-1 victory at the Diego Maradona Stadium.
When Kolo Muani drew first blood, the Bianconeri paid a heavy price for holding their lead. Twelve minutes after the restart, Napoli changed the tide, causing the Old Lady to suffer their sixth consecutive defeat at the Maradona. Juve never came close to creating an equalizer despite Thiago Motta making all of his potential substitutions and giving his waning star Dusan Vlahovic a few minutes of playing time. But with Giovanni Simeone, Napoli took the chance of adding a third goal to their total.
