Newcastle United hopes that Sven Botman and Jacob Ramsey's injuries are not as serious as initially thought so that the Magpies can play their first game following the international break. Ramsey, making his debut start, was substituted before halftime after a whack, and the Dutch defender was substituted in the second half of Wednesday night's 0-0 draw at Elland Road.
When questioned about Ramsey's knock, Howe responded, "Yeah, his ankle swelled up at half-time, so he decided not to take any risks." He also claimed that the decision to replace Ramsey was made as a precaution. Sandro Tonali's ability to play through a shoulder injury sustained during the Liverpool match was another significant plus for Howe. Additionally, Howe will have Joelinton, who missed the game against the Reds due to a groin injury last Monday, back in training and ready to play against Wolverhampton Wanderers by the time the team reassembles following the international matches.
