Newly promoted Leganes drew 0-0 at home to Valencia

Leganes, who was just promoted, drew 0-0 with Valencia at home on Friday, extending their La Liga losing record to seven games. Between them the two sides have scored only 10 goals this season and there was nothing in the way of goalmouth activity in a mediocre encounter in central Spain.

Leganes pressed forward in the second half, but their best chance to score came when Oscar's shot hit the post. The first half was dull and contained no chances on goal. “You’ve got to get three points at home but we have to value one,” Leganes midfielder Juan Cruz said. Valencia stayed third from the bottom of the standings, while Leganes was ranked fifteenth. In its previous 16 Liga games, Valencia has only won once.
