Ousmane Dembele led Paris St. Germain to a 1-0 victory in the first leg of their semi-final at the Emirates, denting Arsenal's chances of winning the Champions League. Dembele scored the first goal after four minutes, and then Mikel Merino's header from Declan Rice's free kick was disallowed by VAR in the second half. In the last seconds, Goncalo Ramos, a replacement for PSG, hit the crossbar for Arsenal. In order to go to their first final in over 20 years, Mikel Arteta's team must now overcome a deficit in Paris the following week.
After receiving the rebound on the edge of Arsenal's penalty area, Dembele took a left-footed effort that bounced against David Raya's post and onto the grass and into the net. Arsenal made a terrible start and then chased PSG's shadows for the next twenty minutes.
