Ranieri trusts Foxes can deal with Kante departure

Losing their most instrumental defensive midfielder will be a hard blow to take for Leicester City, but manager Claudio Ranieri isn't worried about it because he has a very smart scouting team that will bring him players who can replace the Frenchman who left to play for Chelsea last week. During the 2014-2015 season, Argentine defensive midfielder Esteban Cambiasso arrived in Leicester but could only stay for a single season, soon after he left to play for Olympiacos.

This exit wasn't that painful because Ranieri's scouting team was able to find Kante who became one of the team's best players. This is something that doesn't have the manager too concerned, because the team will surely find a player who can do Kante's work without a problem. The small teams such as Leicester or even Atletico Madrid, have to find the balance after losing their best players to biggers clubs.

Talking to the Leicester Mercury, Ranieri said: "I can wish only the best for him. I said at the beginning I wanted to keep all my players, but he pushed and said he wanted to go, I prefer not to keep because there were two or three teams and we couldn't keep him. We tried to keep him but he wanted to go. It is okay for us. Last season Cambiasso went and now it is Kante. Mendy is not the same, just plays in the same position. At this moment I am very happy with all the squad. Wes Morgan has signed a new contract and I am very pleased because now slowly, slowly all the others will sign a new contract."
