Real Betis and Girona have played out the second draw of the day

Betis had a fantastic start, taking the lead in the first five minutes of play. Marc Bartra headed home at the near post for Nabil Fekir's corner. For the defender, who was participating in his first game following his recovery from a catastrophic Achilles tendon injury suffered during the previous season, it was an amazing occasion.

Before the half, Betis had several opportunities to score another goal, the greatest of which was when Aitor Ruibal missed a 1-on-1 with Paolo Gazzaniga. Girona scored an equalizer in the second half, forcing them to pay. The young people came together in support of Michel. Iker Almeda performed a fantastic job of getting to the by-line, and fellow replacement Gabriel Misehouy scored on his debut by turning in his cross. Taken as a whole, the draw is better for Girona than it is for Betis. In any case, an excellent viewing and a fitting start to the 2024–25 La Liga campaign.
