Record number of cards in the Champions League for Barca

6 Barcelona players were cautioned against Porto - Gavi was sent off for a double yellow card -, a personal record for the 'Cules', which places Wednesday's game among the most notable in this category in the history of the Champions League. Only five other clubs have had more cards in a single match in the history of the competition.

Porto-Barcelona gave a lot to talk about. The 'Cules' put an end to their bad run away from home against opponents of a certain level in the top club competition and they did it without playing a great game, playing pragmatism and with a tough football that cost them numerous cautions. There were seven yellow cards, to six players and the double caution that cost Gavi his red card, but there could have been more.
