In the 31st minute of Wednesday's match at Red Star Stadium in Serbia, Seol gave the side a lead with a cross from the left wing that set up Rade Krunic for the second goal. The goal was a comeback for Red Star, who had let Ermedin Demirovic score the first goal in the fifth minute before tying the score with a goal from Silas in the twelfth.
Mirko Ivanic's header in the 65th minute gave Red Star the lead in the second half. After sprinting into the Stuttgart box, replacement Nemanja Radonjic scored four minutes later.
