Riccardo Turicchia, a teenage defender, is having a momentous day as he was called up to the Juventus First Team roster for the team's first-ever Serie A match against Udinese at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday night. The 22-year-old, who is from Imola, has drawn attention after making many strong appearances with the Next Gen team in the second part of the season after returning from his loan at Catanzaro at the end of January. The left-back, who was virtually constant in the last stretch of the season, appeared in 14 of the 16 games that the Massimo Brambilla-coached club played.
Despite making his debut in October 2021, Turicchia, who has been at Bianconero since 2018 and is a graduate of the Youth Sector, has been a member of the Next Gen team since the 2022–2023 season. He has played for the Bianconeri's second team for the past two and a half seasons, making 73 appearances and scoring four goals.
