Sassuolo has successfully agreed to their bid for the Venezia duo of Jay Idzes and Fali Candé, completing a double deal for a total of almost €12 million. This deal confirms the Lagunari's value of defender Idzes, which was always between €8 and €9 million, and their desired price of about €3 million for Candé.
Both players had been linked to other Serie A clubs on several occasions, but for whatever reason, such transactions never came to fruition. We had constantly indicated that Torino would only have made it stick if they first sold Saul Coco, but no one was willing to pay the €20 million asking price. Idzes has been linked to Genoa, but there was no room for a handshake. As for Candé, he had been a target for Hellas Verona, but making this a double deal gave Sassuolo a significant advantage, putting them in a privileged position to get the all clear.
