The right-back initially struggled to be relevant at San Siro and couldn't even get a look in Stefano Pioli's side. But as of late, because he has been getting a little bit more playing time, things have started to get better for Dest. Despite this, Dest has only appeared for the Rossoneri 12 times in all competitions, logging a total of just 532 minutes, and has yet to either score or assist on a goal.
Given his underwhelming results, Calciomercato is now claiming that AC Milan will not shell out the €20 million required to bring in Dest on a permanent basis from Barcelona this summer. Dest is not part of Xavi Hernandez's intentions for Barcelona, in his opinion. Instead, the Catalans are considering a complete overhaul of their right-back options as they aim to permanently sell the USMNT star and cut ways with Hector Bellerin.
