Serie A Highlights: Bologna Cremonese 1-1

Nicola Sansone, Marko Arnautovic, Kevin Bonifazi, Gary Medel, and Lorenzo De Silvestri were among the home team's many injured players. Cremonese shocked Napoli in the Coppa Italia last week and won on penalties to mark their debut under new coach Davide Ballardini. After making a good run, Riccardo Orsolini shot straight at Marco Carnesecchi. Only after drifting offside did he make a difficult save from a tight angle. With a control and half-volley, David Okereke put Lukasz Skorupski to the test, but it was more Bologna, with Stefan Posch stinging Carnesecchi's gloves from a distance.

Orsolini collided with the goalie while attempting to scoop up a cross, and Daniel Ciofani capitalised on a defensive blunder to have a shot deflected wide of the near post. Nico Dominguez's decision to punch the ball rather than head it resulted in VAR bringing the referee over, and Okereke scored the penalty.
