Spain's good performance against Italy got them a frustrating draw, they needed a victory against Albania in their trip to that country. This was the time when Diego Costa and the other strikers needed to appear, it took them until the second half of the game to find the back of the net. The first goal came ten minutes into the second half, a counter attack where Silva assisted Diego Costa who scored without a goalie. This is Diego Costa's third goal with Spain.
The second goal came soon after, a Nolito solo play on the left flank gave Spain the secured win. This leaves Spain as Group G's top national team sharing the spot with Italy, the Italians also won their match in a thrilling game against Macedonia. They came back from a 2-1 defeat with a brace by Immobile, both teams seem to have found their path.
