The striker is currently on loan from Alavés to Mirandes. Panichelli has been on hot form in La Liga 2 this season, registering an impressive 20 goals in 36 games, helping his side into fifth place and offering the possibility of promotion to La Liga. His performances in Spain’s second division have caught the eyes of Strasbourg, L’Équipe understands.
The centre-forward, a product of River Plate’s prestigious academy, has a contract with the Spanish side that runs until the summer of 2029 and therefore he will not come cheap. The Argentine is valued at around €20m by Alavés. Les Alsaciens, in the hunt for UEFA Champions League qualification, are not the only interested party, however.
