

Looking to grab all three points to ensure safety in the league and overcome relegation scare, Liberty Professionals were in a state of shock when Asante Kotoko recorded the first goal of the game in the 32nd minute through Baba Mahama.
Liberty labored throughout the first half to get the equalizer but their efforts were in vain, as Asante Kotoko kept their backline tight. The first half ended with the away side firmly in the lead.
Liberty kept on with the pressure until the 72nd minute when highest scoring defender of the 2017-18 Ghana Premier League, Samuel Sarfo scored the equalizer for the home side.
Sensing safety from relegation after the equalizer Liberty Professionals kept up with the heat and got the winner ten minutes later through Samuel Annan.
The win ensured that Liberty Professionals placed 11th with 41 points after thirty games in the league. Asante Kotoko on the other hand placed 5th after the defeat missing out on top four finish in the 2017-18 league.
